This week's challenge was to take photos of flags. I captured the following shots earlier this summer at The Country Classic and Northwest Spectacular horse shows held at Hunter Creek Farm in Wilsonville, Oregon.
The above are the flags encircling the grand prix jumper ring that welcome spectators to the show grounds.
The Union Jack -- an homage to the origins of our hunter horse traditions.

The blue flag is the Oregon state flag, one of few that has a different image on each side. The side you can see in the photo is a beaver, the state animal and namesake (Oregon is the Beaver State, since fur trappers were the first Europeans to follow Lewis & Clark to the Northwest). The opposite side of the Oregon flag displays the state seal.
The green flag is the Washington state flag. The others include the U.S., U.K., Mexico, and Canada.

I didn't realize the Oregon state flag was two sided. That's pretty cool.
2 sided flag, quite unique. I think by choice would be the last US flag with the lights and shadows, amazing shot.
