No Wonder....
No wonder my money doesn't go as far as it used to.
It appears that my net income is 55% of my gross annual income.
Health insurance premiums (medical and dental) come to 24% of my gross income. Add in federal and state income taxes...and I'm left with 55% of my retirement benefit to live on.
Yup! Our money doesn't go as far as it used to either. There is less of it. A pay cut and bonus elimination reduced it by about 40 percent. For us, this means we are putting less into retirement savings. Like zero.
Way way back in Septmeber when you showed pictures of fall, I promised to take a picture of my favorite fall thing. I did. I loaded it into my computer, and there I stopped until now when I FINALLY posted it in my blog! Now you can see my favorite tree, the buckeye!

I don't know if I'll ever be able to retire - particularly since we can't get insurance without being part of a group.
