You know, us older huntseat folk started out with hunting caps, so when safety helmets came onto the scene, we complained about the bulkiness, the heat, the babybottle head look...
We've come a LOOOONG way BABY! I recently bought the GPA speed air and I forget its even on...and I look "sporty" lol!
Seriously, thank you for the excellent reminder ~ so many stories, so many lives, saved by one helmet.
Just today, I went with a brand new riding friend to meet her horse. She got on and was going to ride for me..and without a helmet..I said,"OH! You forgot your helmet"!! She said she doesn't usually wear it.and the friend(trainer) there said she did not either. I made a bold statement, "Well, you will have to decide right now...if you wish to ride with me, as I require those who do, to wear them!" I said it because she is a new rider and is asking for my help...otherwise I may not have been so bold. KK
